Double price peak of 67.000 Euro

Price statistic OnLive Auction dressage foals

Münster: The OnLive auction of dressage foals this afternoon could hardly be beaten in terms of good atmosphere. Around 100 offers for sale entered the auction round in Münster-Handorf. Two colts were sold at the top price of 67,000 euros. In total, 85 percent of the foals on offer changed hands today at an average price of around 14,000 euros. In the end, the Westphalian Studbook turned over more than 1 million euros today.

Today's OnLive auction opened with a perfect start. The first foal in the auction lot had big shoes to fill. Glamour Star entered the auction floor in Münster-Handorf with the head number 1. The son of the World Champion Glamourdale is no less than the full brother to the price peak of last year's Westphalian OnLive Auction. Glamourdale thrilled the audience in Münster-Handorf exactly one year ago. Her brother is in no way inferior in type and quality. Both were bred by the Schultenhof Stud, Norden-Norddeich, out of the Verb.Pr.St. Kallista by San Amour I. The young colt was the graduation present of the son, who recieved an even greater present with the result of this auction. At the top price of 67,000 Euros, Glamour Star moved into the hands of the Neuenhof stud. The second price peak followed late in the lot. The son of Vitalis named Vorever Love had the head number 59. His dam is Forever Love by Floriscount, who was once a bronze medal winner at the Bundeschampionat and took part in the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses. After an exciting bidding duel, the chestnut colt was also knocked down at the price of 67,000 Euros. Breeder and exhibitor Philipp Welsing from Borken definitely had every reason to celebrate today! He provided with Vorever Love not only one of the price peaks. With the head number 2 Vivaldhino Gold also the second most expensive colt comes from his breeding. The son of Valdiviani/Belissimo M was worth 41,000 euros to his new owners this afternoon

The prejudice that the last head numbers are given to the supposedly worse foals could be disproved by the head number 95. So Perfect/Fürstenball is the pedigree of the colt named Solution. Bred by Christiane and Prof.Dr .Wilhelm Benning, Dülmen, the dark bay changed hands for 40,000 Euros.

At the very end of the auction, the fillies also made it exciting. A fierce bidding duel between Austria and Germany online, as well as customers on site in the tent was sparked. Miss Granta changed hands for 56,000 euros with the head number 101. The daughter of McLaren/Jazz brought Dutchwoman Carla Bunt-Crum to the auction floor in Münster-Handorf. She is none other than the breeder of the popular sire Vaderland. Auctioneer Thomas Münch described this spectacle in the early evening hours as a bidding duel in a class of its own. The filly moves into her new home at the Gestüt Vorwerk. With the head number 22, a very special filly entered the track. Bred by Josef Volle, Lüdinghausen, the eye-catching mare bears the name suffix of the Volle stud "Top". The rest of the name also speaks for itself: Top Extra Bunt is the name of the daughter of Escaneno/Zoom. And she keeps what the name promises! Top in quality and "Extra Bunt" in colour. The filly was very popular with the customers on site. At the hammer price of 55,000 euros auctioneer Thomas Münch finally hit the hammer on the auctioneer's desk.

Two pony foals were for sale in this lot of dressage foals. Gabby Blue Eyes impressed the audience with the head number 11. The filly is a daughter of the champion stallion of 2021 Gold Garant, who also once danced to a top price at the Westphalian Foal Auction. Marlies Brinkmann from Lüdinghausen chose the strong moving stallion for her St.Pr.St. Chica de Luna by Calvin Klein. At 20,000 Euros, the bid was accepted in favor of local customers.

Another sensation was caused by head number 51 of the auction lot. The two-year-old Shetland pony stallion with the significant name Prince for Franzi was auctioned off as a charity project. The Schneider breeding group from Gestüt Veischedetal in Olpe had provided the son of Kinglet of Chestnut Stable/Brink-R van de Gathe. In favor of the nineteen-year-old Franziska from Oberveischede the auction took place. The young girl had suffered a rare spinal cord infarction last year. Since then she has been partially paralyzed. More than 40 private individuals and stallion stations contributed 1,000 euros each to this bidding project. The initiative to acquire contributors was initiated by Matthieu Beckmann, who worked to ensure that many people responded to his appeal and donated to Franzi. Ulrike Bachinger rounded up the amount from 42,000 euros to 45,000 euros and thus received the final award for Prince for Franzi.

An auction with an atmosphere rarely experienced at this length and in adverse weather conditions was celebrated by the Westphalian Studbook today. After a sunny start, a downpour caused wet feet, especially for the team of Westphalian young breeders. However, this could not dampen the top atmosphere The runners continued to fight their way through the puddles and achieved top prices for the foals. The spectators and buyers on site celebrated their young Westphalians without ifs and buts.

The decision of auction manager Thomas Münch to put together a lot of around 100 dressage foals for this OnLive auction was a courageous one. The aim was to give as many breeders as possible the opportunity to market their foals through the Westphalian Studbook. The success proved him right. Of the 98 foals offered for sale at the end, 83 changed hands. With a total turnover of 1,127,250 euros, a fantastic average price of 13,581 euros was achieved. Five foals cracked the price mark of 40,000 euros. Together with the auction of jumping foals yesterday evening, the Westphalian Studbook sold a total of 120 foals. With a total average price of 12,094 euros, a total turnover of about 1.5 million euros was achieved.
